Are you going to the Members meeting?

Summer is nearly here, and that means it’s time for the annual I-Light and Indiana GigaPOP members meeting. This year we’ll gather June 19 and 20 at the Morris Inn at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. The question is: Will you be there?

Our members attend the meeting for a variety of reasons. Some come to reconnect with Internet2 network peers. Others come to rub shoulders with IT leaders and learn how to wisely grow a campus cyberinfrastructure.

Most everyone wants to make the most of belonging to the I-Light and Indiana GigaPOP family. For instance, did you know researchers are more likely to win National Science Foundation grants if they can demonstrate Research & Education network connectivity? What’s more, data is safer and moves faster with I-Light.

“Just because your campus is small doesn’t mean you’re not doing major research,” said Director Marianne Chitwood. “An I-Light connection gives small colleges and universities a seat at the table with the large research institutions.”

I-Light always offers free consultations, so the members meeting is a great opportunity for us to learn how we can serve the needs of your campus – even if that’s just through giving advice.

To learn more about how I-Light and the Indiana GigaPOP can help your campus work faster and smarter, join us at the 2014 members meeting in South Bend.
